“They are afraid”: Tajik migrants’ journeys to Russia collapse after Moscow attack


Faced with an increase in xenophobic incidents following the terrorist attacks in Moscow, Tajiks are canceling their travel plans to Russia. The four main suspects in the attack are Tajiks and many migrants from the Central Asian country working in Russia say they are increasingly being targeted. At the main airport in the Tajik capital Dushanbe, a transport worker told RFE/RL that people “are afraid to go to Russia.”
